I can’t believe the week is already over. It was fun revisiting all the booksbefore jumping on to the Cursed Child. Although it’s going to be in the play format I’m sure I’ll love it no less than the rest. Before that, let’s see if your favourites from the Deathly Hallows matches mine!

Potter Week Day 7 – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Favourite Character – Severus Snape

That’s a no brainer. I won’t say that I was one of those who loved him since the beginning because well Jo really portrayed him badly enough to make us detest him. But I love him more because of how he was totally completely redeemed. It was a complete U-turn and  I think that’s the beauty of it.

Favourite Scene – The Prince’s Tale

This whole chapter not just one scene is my absolute favourite part of this book. The sea of emotions I went through while reading this chapter you won’t believe it.<tears up again>

Favourite Trio Moment

I just cannot pick one. It has to the entire book and all the scenes they had together. Picking one would be a horrible partiallity to all the others and we don’t want that after all. Their meetings in Ron’s room to their adventures all over England to the final duel. It was all mindblowing.

Favourite Object – The Invisibility Cloak

The seventh book was all about tying up loose ends in the most impressive manner and I love, love how cleverly Jo explained the abilities of this cloak as a Hallow.

Favourite Spell – Expelliarmus

That’s the spell that ended it al. Seven glorious books full of not just magic but life itself. Atleast that’s how I see it. And I so wish we got to see the duel between Harry and Voldemort at the end of the book with them circling and the first ray of the sun hitting them and then casting of the spells.

Favourite Creature – Dragon

I was a bit sad that I didn’t pick dragon for the fourth book but I remembered now that I could do so for the Deathlly Hallows too! I do wonder what would have happened had the dragon realised that the trio was sitting on him.

Welcome back to Funny Fridays! Here I share a funny, silly snippet from the book I’m currently reading or recently finished reading. It could be a quote or a passage or an image related to the book. Today’s in dedication to Mr. Rickman. I can imagine well enough how this scene would carry out.

As most of you can figure out, this conversation is between Severus Snape, the potion mater and Harry Potter from the sixth book – Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

“This is your copy of Advanced Potion-Making, is it, Potter?”
“Yes,” said Harry, still breathing hard.
“You’re quite sure of that, are you, Potter?”
“Yes,” said Harry, with a touch more defiance.
“This is the copy of Advanced Potion-Making that you purchased from Flourish and Blotts?”
“Yes,” said Harry firmly.
“Then why,” asked Snape, “does it have the name ‘Roonil Wazlib’ written inside the front cover?”
Harry’s heart missed a beat. “That’s my nickname,” he said.

I have posted after a while today and that’s because I’m quite caught up with some stuff and will be for some time now. But I’ll try to be active on the comments and also try to schedule some posts for the coming weeks. I hope you all had a great week and have a greater weekend! I just do not have enough words to tell how terrible I feel. I’m already going through a bit of a crisis right now and this news on top of it was too much too bear. It feels like Professor Snape died all over again and all I can do is cry. I might not know him personally but the quote is apt for Alan Rickman, who will ALWAYS be remembered as one of the bests.

Happy Birthday to our favourite and the most talented transfiguration professor, Minerva McGonagall! She is one of my favourite characters as she ‘s remarkably like some of my best teachers from school. Professor McGonagall is immensely respected and adequately feared but loved by everyone. Above all, it’s her knife sharp wit that makes her stand out among the rest!

And really, is there a better way of celebrating her birthday than showing off her sassiness through some of her dialogues?

Well, as good the lip colours are, unfortunately some of them do not reflect the characters they are named after.
