Hello everyone! It’s October already and I’ve no idea where September slipped away. I didn’t post a lot either because, lazy much? But I hope to be more punctual from now on. Coming back, I was nominated by the lovely Stephanie of lifeastoldbya23yo for the Sunshine Blogger Award. Those who haven’t done so already go and check out her awesome blog!
Rules:
– Thank the person/people who nominated you
– Answer the questions from your nominators.
– Nominate eleven other bloggers and give them eleven questions.
Questions:
Why did you start blogging?
It was mostly on a whim. I have a habit of maintaining journals and I thought of giving an online journal a shot in the form of a blog, hence the name. But now I’m quite addicted to it and I’ve found so many amazing bloggers!
I’m going to copy Amber’s question here and ask…what are three random facts about yourself?
I’m extremely shy and have a stage fright, and that’s why I never dance in public. Or take part in speaking competitions. (I recently danced at a cousin’s wedding and it looked as if a rubber doll is being forced to move!)
No matter how tired I am, I never sleep without reading at least two pages (a chapter) of a book.
I’m a huge fan of horror movies. The adrenaline rush! I can feel my heart beat and my fingertips get all tingly. Do recommend some movies if you love them too!
What are your top three favorite TV shows? (can also be movies if you don’t watch TV)
How I Met Your Mother
Comedy Nights with Kapil
It’s one of the best shows on Indian television! Light and funny to watch with your entire family.
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Indian version of Dancing with the Stars)
Not that I don’t enjoy the dance but I watch it for Karan Johar and the host Manish Paul. They both are highly adorable.
What is your biggest food weakness?
Chocolates hands down! And noodles as well. I usually order them whenever we go out and it bugs my friends and family.
Pet peeves?
I have a whole list but I’ll mention just the major ones. The sound of knuckle cracking; I find it very grating on my nerves. And pop up ads! I mean why would somebody even make them? It’s a crime I would say!
Are you a dog or a cat person?
I’m definitely a dog person. They are homey and very faithful whereas cats are more independent I believe. That’s my aunt’s pug Juno!
If you could travel to anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? And what would you do?
I read some book set in Scotland as a kid and it was so picturesquely described that I fell in love with the place. I would love to explore the castles most of all.
Hobbies besides blogging?
Other than blogging, I love cooking and crafting. I love making cards and stuff for people as it has a personal touch to it. In fact I’ve posted some of my DIYs too.
What do you like most about yourself?
Oh this one is a difficult question! I’m way too critical about myself. I tend to strive for perfection and it’s not always easy to achieve.
If you could pick one thing that you could be good at, what would it be?
Hmm.. I wish to be a bit more confident and outgoing. Does that count?
What do you do to decompress?
Reading of course! There’s no better way than that. But a power nap and strolls in parks can also be very refreshing.

Thank you so much for the nomination Shivalika! I haven’t done this award before so thank you very much. I have to agree with you that pop ads are very annoying!!

Thank you for the nomination! This looks like an adorable tag (I don’t know why, maybe it’s the flowers?) and it’s just in time for spring where I am too! Also, I completely understand where you’re coming from – this whole year has just flown by! 🙂

You’re welcome! 🙂 It’s difficult to imagine spring in October since winters are almost here in India. But yes the flowers do make everything more cheerful!

Haha, well when everyone was celebrating summer it was winter here, same with spring and autumn 🙂

Thank you for the nomination! 😀 Chocolates and horror movies? Yes please! 😛 Comedy nights with Kapil- I haven’t watched it since a long time. 😛
I stopped watching Jhalak when they changed the judges. Actually, no time for tv now-a-days. 😛 😛 😛

I remember now that I forgot to mention gol gappe! 😀 I agree Comedy Nights has become a bit tedious of late. And Jhalak has also lost its appeal after Karan left the show but I’m still watching it for Sanaya Irani. 🙂 Though she’s not the best there.
