I’m so excited to do the Burrito Bowl Book Tag for which I was tagged by the amazing Erika @ ErikaInBookventureland. Thanks a ton Erika!
RICE: THE FOUNDATION – “The book that got you into reading (or book blogging).”
The Baby Sitter’s Club by Ann M. Martin is the series that gave me the reading bug. I loved how a group of friends had come together to form a club and had their weekly meetings. I wished I could do that with my friends too!
BEANS: THE FILLER – “A book with a whole lot of nothing happening.”
Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson . It’s one of the silliest books ever! I had this book on my reading list for very a long time so it was complete disappointment. And let me warn you that that beautiful cover is completely deceptive.
PROTEIN: THE BUILDING BLOCK – “A book quote to live by.”
Dumbledore: “After all this time?”
Snape: “Always..”
From Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling, ‘Always’ is just a single word and in context with the book it signifies Snape’s deep everlasting love for Lily Potter. But it means a lot more than that. It signifies hope, that no matter the darkness of this world there will always be something brighter at the end of the day. That no matter how the world tries to brings you down; you’ll always find a way to shine.
FAJITAS: THE CRUNCH OF TEXTURE – “A book with immaculate world-building.”
I’ll definitely go with Middle Earth from the Lord of the Rings and Narnia from The Chronicles of Narnia.
SALSA: THE DANCE OF FLAVOUR – “A book that kept you on your toes.”
It would be the first time I read The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. The book was sooo enthralling I just couldn’t put it down. All the complex puzzles and the ultimate plot just blew away my mind!
CORN: THE EXPLOSION OF SWEETNESS – “A memorable scene involving friendship/romance.”
The most romantic scene that will always be etched on mind is the one from Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas. The hero Kev Merripen has been in love with Win Hathaway since they were teenagers. So when the scarlet fever leaves Win too weak to get up from her bed, all she can do is to look at a nest of robins through her window. Realising this, Kev, who is scared of heights cleans her window every day from the outside. So the sky is always the bluest for her.*misty eyes!*
CHEESE: THE BOND OF CALCIUM – “Two characters from different books you wish could be friends.”
Hermione Granger and Annabeth Chase from Harry Potter and Percy Jackson series respectively. Both smart and super intelligent, I think they will make great friends, albeit competitive ones.
SOUR CREAM: THE TANGY TOPPER – “The quirkiest character you’ve ever read (protagonist or supporting).”
The protagonist of The Heiress Effect by Courtney Milan is lovely quirky character. Jane Fairfield has the habit of seeing things in numbers when tensed. Also, she dresses in a loud weird fashion.
“For instance, the seamstress fitting her gown had poked her seven times while placing forty-three straight pins—but the pain had vanished quickly enough. The twelve holes in Jane’s corset were an evil, true, but a necessary one; without them, she would never have reduced her waist from its unfashionable thirty-seven inch span down to the still unfashionable girth of thirty-one inches.”
GUACAMOLE: THE COST OF CREAMINESS – “A book you paid too much for (based on utility experienced).”
Honestly, I can’t think of any. Either I haven’t really bought a book too expensive or I don’t think any of my loves are too expensive for me! 😀
LETTUCE: THE HANDFUL OF CRISPNESS – “A refreshing concept/theme in a book.”
The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley. This book gives us a glimpse of how difficult life can be for a person suffering from Autism in the nineteenth century.
CHIPS: LE PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE – “A must-read recommendation if you like [this book/genre—you decide!]”
Just one? Well apart from Harry Potter, I would highly recommend Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I bet you’ll fall in love.
TABASCO: THE KICK TO THE FACE – “Your favourite fight/action sequence.”
Wand fights are included right? I love the scene when in The Deathly Hallows Voldemort is fighting Professor McGonagall, Flitwick and Kingsley and simultaneously Molly Weasley is fighting Bellatrix and everyone is just gathered around watching them.

Even before I opened the comment I somehow guessed you were thinking about getting it tattooed… :p I have a sentence I believe in, I might get that tattooed on my wrist, it’s what I say to myself, it might change by the time I actually go forward with the idea. 😉

😀 I’m pretty sure about getting it tattooed after I get a job. And I’m also getting it on my wrist. 🙂

Even I am waiting for the job. That will take 3 years at least, I will get my bachelor’s degree then. Because many companies have no tattoos policy or so I’ve heard.

Oh my gosh I loved the Babysitter’s Club. I remember wanting to be a babysitter when I was reading the books. All the girls were just so cool.
I love the fight scene in Deathly Hallows as well. Serves Bellatrix right!
